Parents,

Below is a link to an optional packet of homework for your kindergarten student. This packet will keep your child fresh on the skills they have learned this year. 

Studies have shown that children can regress over the summer months. In some cases, the regression can be up to 40% of what they have learned. Unfortunately, the packet is too large to be printed out for everyone. 

This packet is NOT mandatory. 

However, those who do complete it, will receive a special reward. 

In the fall, return the calendars and worksheets (total of 10 sheets) to your child's first grade teacher. Your child will receive a special reward and recognition for completing their summer packet. 

This packet includes some great resources for you to use any time or with younger children in your home. There are letter tiles, number tiles, basic math facts flash cards, and all the sight word flash cards. To make your flash cards and tiles more durable, I would suggest printing them on card stock.
